Where the money goes!!

The Friends have had a fantastic year of fundraising.  The support of parents and families is, of course,  vital for not only raising the money but also running the events.   I thought it might be nice for you to see what type of things all that money is spent on in school and how all those events really do benefit every child.

The FoRPS generously support educational visits for every class.

The Hedgehogs and Woodpeckers visited
Lopham Fen.

The Rabbits and Foxes visted Kentwell Hall dressed
as tudors as part of their topic work.

The Badgers and Squirrels visited the Norfolk Show
The Otters, Owls and Deers saw Goiodnight Mr Tom at the
Theatre Royal in Norwich.

The Friends helped Mrs Clarke to organise and run the Golden Jubilee celebrations
and presented each pupil with a celebratory mug.
The Friends paid for a resident artist to work with all the children during Art Week

Following the delivery of our new ipads the Friends have been very supportive in
providing a Mini Mac and whiteboard link cables to make sure we can get the best use
of them.
The Friends have just agreed to fund almost a £1000 of new music equipment
for use with every class.  Watch this space for the delivery!!

This is just a small insight into the support given by the FoRPS to the school.  They have provided many, many more resources over the years and have contributed to visits and outside visitors to enhance the learning in school.

Welcome to the new FoRPS blog!

The Friends of Roydon Primary School do fantastic work fundraising for the school.  By keeping an eye of this blog you will be able to see upcoming events, great events that you may have missed (shame on you!) and information on the kinds of things that the school has been able to buy or do thanks to all their hard work!
